Privacy Policy
This policy covers Framewrite (framewrite.cc and app.framewrite.cc) -- both accounts you sign up for and the anonymous, no-login free trial on this site. If you have questions about anything here, emailcontact@framewrite.cc.
What we collect
If you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture from Google Sign-In; any video or audio you upload and the document/transcript we generate from it; API keys you create; feedback you submit; and, if you connect Google Drive, an authorization token that lets us save documents there on your behalf (kept encrypted, and only used for that purpose).
If you use the free trial (no account required), we collect the video or audio file you upload, the document we generate from it, and your IP address -- the IP address is used only to enforce a daily limit on free trials and is not tied to any account. See Cloudflare Turnstile below for the bot-check step the trial uses.
Billing: wallet top-ups are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number -- we keep a Stripe customer ID and a ledger of charges/top-ups/refunds in cents.
On this marketing site, we use Google Analytics to understand traffic and which pages/features get used (page views and a small number of named events, like starting or finishing a free-trial upload). No account-identifying information is sent to Analytics from this site.
How your upload gets processed
Turning a video or audio file into a document requires sending parts of it to specialized third-party services, whether you're signed in or using the free trial:
- Transcription -- your audio is sent to a speech-to-text/diarization provider to produce a speaker-tagged transcript.
- Frame analysis and document composition -- for video, extracted frames (e.g. slides, diagrams, tables) are sent to AI providers to classify what's on screen and to write the final document from your transcript.
These providers process this data to perform the service on our behalf; we don't authorize them to use it to train their own models beyond what their own terms specify for API customers.
How long we keep things
Account documents are kept for 7 days after processing, after which the file itself is deleted (your job history and billing record are kept, since that's part of your account's usage history) -- download what you need before then.
Free-trial uploads and documents are deleted entirely, record and all, within about 6 hours of submission. There's no way to retrieve a trial result after that, and no way for us to look one up by request, since nothing ties it to you.
Cloudflare Turnstile
The free trial's upload form is protected byCloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission is coming from a real browser rather than a script, without a visible puzzle in most cases. Using the trial sends some data about your browser/device to Cloudflare for this check. Cloudflare's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy and Turnstile-specific addendum, not by us:
What we store in your browser
The app keeps your sign-in session in your browser's local storage (so you don't have to log in every visit). The free-trial widget on this site saves the id of your most recent trial upload locally, purely so reloading the page can show you its progress again instead of losing track of it -- it's cleared automatically once that upload finishes or expires. Neither of these are cookies, and neither is shared with anyone.
Your choices
You can download or delete your documents at any time from your dashboard. To request deletion of your account and associated data, or to ask what data we hold about you, email contact@framewrite.cc.
Children
Framewrite isn't directed at, and isn't knowingly used by, children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Framewrite after a change means you accept the update.
